Nasser al-Khelaifi suspected of paying $3.5m to IAAF chief to help Qatar land world event

The president of Paris Saint-Germain football club, Nasser al-Khelaifi, has been placed under investigation for suspected corruption, a French judicial official said.

The preliminary charge of “active corruption” was filed in mid-May, said the official, who was speaking on condition of anonymity because they were not authorised to discuss the investigation publicly. No other details were given.
