Milly Perez will pursue her third win in four appearances when tackling a mobile start Three-Year-Old Pace (2100m) at Victorian country track Charlton on Thursday.

Milly Perez won first-up after a spell when racing over 1720 metres at Melton on 12th December, then ran third in a Maryborough 1690-emtre event 11 days later.

The Larry Eastman-trained filly, to be driven by top reinsman Chris Alford on Thursday, won over 2100 metres at Charlton on 2nd January.

Milly Perez’s only placings in her first five starts were two thirds, but she has blossomed since a spell.

Eye Catching, to race for trainer Paul Fitzpatrick in a Three-Year-Old Fillies’ Pace (2125m) at Sydney track Penrith on Thursday night, will drop sharply in class.

She ran third in an Australian Pacing Gold Heat (1609m) at Menangle on 16th April. Another third was recorded by Eye Catching in the Australian Pacing Gold series when she tackled a 1660-metre race at Albion Park on 27th April.

She last raced when seventh in the $307,000 APG 2YO Fillies’ Final (1660m) at Albion Park on 4th May.

The filly has won twice and run four places in eight starts.

Four-year-old Rosemma, placed at three of her past four starts, gets the chance to break through for a win at Victorian course Geelong on Thursday night.

The mare, to race from a standing start in a 2100-metre Trotters’ Handicap, ran a close second over 2190 metres at Maryborough on 23rd  December.

El Paco, competing from a standing start in the 2570-metre Trotters’ Handicap at Geelong on Thursday night, will be seeking his ninth win.

He had not raced for more than three months when winning from a standing start over 2200 metres at Ballarat on 2nd January.
