Lyon beat PSG on penalties to win women’s Champions League final

Lyon became champions of Europe for the fourth time – matching the record set by Frankfurt – after prevailing in sudden death of a penalty shoot-out to beat PSG and successfully defend their Champions League title.

After no goals in 120 minutes and with the scores level at 6-6 in the shoot-out, both goalkeepers stepped up: PSG’s Katarzyna Kiedrzynek dragged her effort horribly wide, Lyon’s Sarah Bouhaddi sidefooted the decisive spot past Kiedrzynek into the corner.
