It’s first vs. fifth in an early college basketball showdown when the Kentucky Wildcats and Kansas Jayhawks meet at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

Kentucky arrives for the State Farm Champions Classic match up following a couple of strolls against Grand Canyon and Buffalo, neither of whom provided any kind of real test for the Wildcats.

Admittedly the Bulls made it interesting by taking a five-point half time lead at the Rupp Arena in Lexington, but Kentucky stifled any thoughts of an upset in the second while holding the visitors to 14 points the rest of the way in a 71-52 triumph.

Meanwhile as he is won’t to do, Kansas head coach Bill Self scheduled a UC Santa Barbara side who were competitive throughout before falling 69-59 in the season opener at the Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence.

Second ranked Arizona welcomes in UC Irvine to the McKale Center on Wednesday. Both sides are 2-0 on the young season, but anything other than one-way traffic for the Wildcats over the Anteaters would be something of a surprise.

Freshman Stanley Johnson dropped in 17 points against Cal-State Northridge over the weekend and the youngster is expected to be a huge part of Arizona’s push towards a Pac-12 title.

Over in Wisconsin the Badgers are pointing to an early December meeting with the Duke Blue Devils. Victories over Northern Kentucky and Chattanooga have not provided any kind of a test for Bo Ryan’s side as the Big Ten side has routed both the Norsemen and the Mocs.

Kentucky are 4.00 to win the NCAAB title, while Kansas are 15.00 to be crowned champions.

Don’t forget, you can earn up to 50% more on your NCAAB pre-game parlays with bet365’s fantastic 50% Parlay Bonus.
