Josep Gombau makes A-League return as Wanderers coach

• Former Adelaide United coach succeeds Tony Popovic at Western Sydney
• Caretaker Hayden Foxe expected to remain at club as an assistant

Western Sydney Wanderers have turned to Olyroos coach and former Adelaide United mentor Josep Gombau as the full-time successor to Tony Popovic.

“For me, this is an amazing opportunity at one of – if not the biggest – clubs in the Hyundai A-League,” Gombau said.
