John Stones: Manchester City close to announcing signing of Everton defender

Everton defender John Stones' transfer to Manchester City is imminent, with an announcement expected on Tuesday.
The 22-year-old England international has been named in City's official Champions League squad, which is published on the Uefa website.
Everton wanted £50m for the former Barnsley defender, but City's first offer was closer to £40m.
Pep Guardiola's men play the away leg of their Champions League qualifier against Steaua Bucharest next Tuesday.
The deadline for submitting squad lists for the play-off round was Monday.
A Uefa spokesman said: "As is standard procedure, the lists were automatically published on uefa.com once they were approved and entered into the Uefa competition database."
Last month, Guardiola confirmed he was interested in signing Stones, saying: "Everyone knows we are going to try. We will see what happens."
