Horse Racing – Coneygree to race at Wetherby

Sara Bradstock is optimistic about Coneygree's chances of returning to his best form this season. Coneygree has only raced three times since winning the 2015 Cheltenham Gold Cup, most recently finishing third behind Sizing John at Punchestown in April. Bradstock, assistant trainer to husband Mark, has confirmed that Coneygree will race at Wetherby on Saturday, where he is 5/2 with bet365 to win the bet365 Charlie Hall Chase. "I genuinely think he's as good as ever," Bradstock said. "He's ten but he has no miles on the clock and he hasn't really got any speed to lose as he never had any. There isn't a top gear to lose." Coneygree is set to face another veteran in Cue Card, 9/4 to win the bet365 Charlie Hall Chase, at Wetherby.
