Horse Racing – Clemmie faces race against time

Aidan O'Brien is unsure whether Clemmie will be fit enough to take part in next month's Qipco 1,000 Guineas at Newmarket. The daughter of Galileo has returned to walking but seems set to miss the opening fillies' Classic of the British Flat season on 6th May. "Clemmie had a hold-up last month and is only back walking," O'Brien said. "It's possible the Newmarket Guineas might come too soon for her and we might decide to aim her at the Irish 1,000 with possibly a race before then." O'Brien's Happily, winner of the Moyglare Stud Stakes last season, is 7/2 with bet365 to triumph in the 1,000 Guineas, while Saxon Warrior is 5/1 to win the 2,000 Guineas.
