Heather Watson warms up for Australian Open by winning Hobart title

• British No1 claims second WTA Tour victory
• Now heads to Melbourne to compete in Australian Open

Heather Watson claimed the second WTA Tour title of her career on Saturday, beating the American qualifier Madison Brengle at the Hobart International.

The British No1 recovered from 3-1 down in the first set to win 6-3, 6-4 and complete an ideal week of preparation for the Australian Open, which gets under way on Monday. She becomes the first British woman since Anne Hobbs in 1985 to win a second tour title.
