The Atlanta Hawks visit the Moda Center in Portland on Saturday when they go in search of a fourth consecutive victory against the Trail Blazers.

A half game up on the Toronto Raptors for the best record in the Eastern Conference, the Hawks arrive in town following their 98-92 victory over the Utah Jazz on Friday at the Energy Solutions Arena in Salt Lake City. Paul Millsap had a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds and Jeff Teague a game-high 26 points on 9-of-17 from the floor as Atlanta got the new year after a good start.

That wasn’t the case for the Raptors who after losing to the Trail Blazers in Portland on Tuesday lost two games in a row for only the second time all season when they fell to the Golden State Warriors at the Oracle Arena in Oakland. Greivis Vasquez came off the bench to pace the visitors with 25 points on 10-of-19 from the field, but Toronto could not match the overall offense of the Warriors.

Stephen Curry’s 32 points and 12 assists were overshadowed by a triple-double from Draymond Green who has flourished under new Golden State head coach Steve Kerr. The second year man out of Michigan State was 6-of-12 from the floor with 13 assists and 11 rebounds in the 126-105 triumph.

The Warriors take the weekend off before welcoming in the Oklahoma City Thunder early next week while the Raptors conclude their six-game road swing in Phoenix against the Suns on Sunday.

The Raptors are 29.00 to win the NBA Championship and Oklahoma can be backed at 10.00.
