The Memphis Grizzlies will look to make it four consecutive wins on Saturday when they head to Denver to take on the Nuggets.

Back to back victories over the Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs had led to a somewhat inevitable let down shortly thereafter with defeats to the Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, Utah Jazz and Houston Rockets, but a 103-95 triumph over the Heat in Miami a couple days after Christmas started the current three-game winning streak.

Friday the Grizzlies continued to play without the injured Zach Randolph, who missed his sixth straight game, but still had enough to edge the Lakers 109-106 at the Staples Center. Mike Conley led five Memphis players in double figures and with Randolph expected back against Denver the Grizzlies may have weathered the storm still with the lead in the Southwest Division.

One game back of Memphis are the surging Dallas Mavericks. Winners of five of seven since the trade for Rajon Rondo from the Boston Celtics, the Mavericks are in Cleveland on Sunday to face the LeBron-less Cavaliers at the Quicken Loans Arena. Friday was an emotional return to the TD Garden in Boston for the Celtics’ former star as Rondo knocked in 29 points in the 119-101 triumph on 12-of-19 from the field.

Boston meanwhile is straight back into action on Saturday when they make a brief one-game trip to the United Center in Chicago. The Bulls lead the Central Division by four games over the Cavaliers and also sit just behind the Atlanta Hawks and the Toronto Raptors in the Eastern Conference standings.

The Bulls are 6.00 to win the NBA Championship outright and the Cavs can be backed at 6.00.
