Golf – Thomas fully fit and firing

After missing the USPGA Championship because of a wrist injury, Justin Thomas is ready to hit the US Open all guns blazing at Pebble Beach. The 26-year-old's 2019 started with four top ten finishes in five starts and he ticked a career best finish (T12th) at the Masters, but then had to take seven weeks off to rehabilitate, but he insisted ahead of Thursday's first round that the problems are behind him. "The wrist is a non-issue," he said. "That's why I took as long away as I did, but that also meant my game was pretty rusty, hence why I added Canada to the schedule last week. "It makes for a different approach, playing the week before a Major versus taking it off, but I think it's what I needed to do to make sure I'm ready for this week." Thomas is 28/1 with bet365 to win the US Open.
