Billy Donovan’s Gators will look to make it seven wins on the bounce.

Billy Donovan’s Florida Gators will look to make it seven consecutive victories when they visit the Arkansas Razorbacks over the weekend.

Convincing 74-58 winners over the South Carolina Gamecocks earlier in the week, the Gators have lost just twice all season to the Wisconsin Badgers and the Huskies of Connecticut by a combined seven points. Scottie Wilbekin paced the Florida attack with 17 points in the victory over South Carolina as the Gators hit almost 58% from the floor on Wednesday evening at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center in Gainesville.

At 11-3 the Razorbacks will have hopes of pulling off the upset at the Bud Walton Arena, but Arkansas is coming off a bad defeat to Texas A & M in their SEC opener when the Razorbacks were routed 69-53 by the Aggies. Head coach Mike Anderson will need a significantly better effort from his side if they are to make a dent against either the Gators or the Kentucky Wildcats who arrive in town next Tuesday.

Over in Stillwater the Oklahoma State Cowboys bounced back from their loss to Kansas State with an 87-74 triumph over the visiting Texas Longhorns.

Markel Brown and Marcus Smart combined for 51 points to lead the Cowboys who head to West Virginia to play the Mountaineers on Saturday. A win in Morgantown should push Oklahoma State back into the top 10 at the expense of Baylor after the Bears lost to Iowa State.

Heading in the opposite direction are the defending national champion Louisville Cardinals who lost to Memphis. All five starters were in double figures for the Tigers who shot a robust 50% from the floor in contrast to Louisville’s 39%.

The Gators are 26.00 to win the NCAAB Championship, while the Cardinals can be backed at 17.00.
