Fulham are relegated after Watford and Troy Deeney show no mercy

Fulham have been relegated from the Premier League after just one season back in the top flight, as a result of losing 4-1 at Watford. They will join Huddersfield in the Championship next season, after the Yorkshire club’s demotion was confirmed on Saturday.

Abdoulaye Doucouré put Watford ahead midway through the first half, though Ryan Babel soon equalised. Fulham had no answer after the break, though, with goals from Will Hughes, Troy Deeney and Kiko Femenía kept Watford firmly in the hunt for seventh place.
