Formula 1 – Hamilton ready for fifth title bid

Lewis Hamilton wasted no time on setting his sights on a fifth Formula 1 title bid after sealing the fourth of his career at Sunday's Mexican Grand Prix. The Mercedes driver looked like he would have to wait until the Brazilian Grand Prix on 12th November to wrap up the drivers championship when he suffered a punctured tyre on the first lap of the race. However, while Hamilton fought back valiantly from last place, he could only manage a ninth-placed finish as Red Bull's Max Verstappen took the chequered flag. But main rival Sebastian Vettel, whose Ferrari car also suffered damage in the first-lap collision, could only finish fourth which meant the title went to Hamilton. The 32-year-old, who is now the most successful British Formula 1 driver in history, moving him one championship clear of Sir Jackie Stewart, is already targeting success in 2018 and is 11/8 with bet365 to win his fifth world title. He sad: "Four is a great number but I want number five."
