The former Wales scrum-half Dwayne Peel is to join Bristol next season after agreeing a two-year contract.

The 32-year-old, who amassed 76 caps and was part of grand slam victories in 2005 and 2008, will leave Sale in June.

"Dwayne's decision to join us is a major coup and a real indication of the direction we want to go in," the Bristol director of rugby Andy Robinson said. © 2014 Guardian News and Media Limited or its affiliated companies.
