FFA confident of ‘win-win’ outcome in Wellington Phoenix licence deal

FFA chief executive David Gallop has given his most promising indication yet that Wellington could remain part of the A-League next season, predicting a positive outcome in licence negotiations for both parties.

Wellington’s A-League future has been on a knife’s edge since their request for a 10-year licence extension was declined by the governing body last October. The club, whose current licence expires at season’s end, was instead offered a four-year deal.
