It also depends on where your arm is: too high, and you can’t get your wrist over. Too low, and it’s too round-arm and the batsman can pick it easily or you’ll bowl too short.” Warne then references this delivery, to Ian Bell: “I tried to spin this delivery as much as I could. “The main question I get asked is ‘how do you spin the ball further?’ The key is a nice relaxed grip. Some coaches will tell you to grip the ball as hard as you can to really rip the ball. I’m sorry to those coaches, but that’s just wrong.”
