David Weir claims first title since London 2012 in 5,000m T54

David Weir claimed his first title since the London Paralympics as one of seven gold medals won by Great Britain on day two of the IPC Athletics European Championships in Italy.

The multiple Paralympic champion was victorious in the 5,000m T54 – the first of five events he is set to contest at the Carlo Zecchini stadium in Grosseto.
