Crystal Palace earn golden, goalless point for Keith Millen at QPR

Nothing in this bleak encounter suggested these teams are going to soar clear of danger any time soon. However, Keith Millen, beginning his third stint as Crystal Palace’s caretaker manager following Saturday’s dismissal of Neil Warnock, could at least take satisfaction from a hard-fought away point though given how beatable the home side looked, he would have been entitled to regret not climbing out of the relegation zone by improving a run that now reads one win in 13 Premier League matches.

“It was really important that the lads showed a real togetherness and spirit,” Millen said. “That’s what we’ve been about for the last two years. You could see the response of the players, I was very proud of them. It’s been a shock what happened [with Warnock] so it was important to bounce back.”
