Cricket – Sarfraz seeks more from batsmen

Skipper Sarfraz Ahmed accepts Pakistan must improve on their recent performances with the bat if they are to upset England in the semi-finals of the Champions Trophy. Sarfraz led the way as his team edged a nervy three-wicket win over Sri Lanka to set up a semi-final date with hosts England in Cardiff on Wednesday, with the wicketkeeper-batsman aware that further improvements will be needed. He told reporters: "Yeah, a little bit concerned about the middle-order batting. Most of our dismissals were soft, which definitely is an area of concern for us. "We will sit down and talk about this and hopefully we will recover from this. We should have won by a good margin but a win is a win. "Yes, we need to sit and talk about it and realise that if we are settled that we should take the game to the end rather than leaving it for the incoming batsmen." Pakistan can be backed at 12/5 with bet365 to win on Wednesday, with England 1/3 to claim victory.
