Chris Froome takes lead in Critérium du Dauphiné after stage win in Vaujany

Chris Froome took over the race lead at the Critérium du Dauphiné after clinching victory on stage five on Friday.

The Team Sky rider launched an attack 2.5 kilometres from the summit of the final climb in the 140km route to Vaujany and was too strong for Richie Porte, of BMC, as he crossed the line first to take the yellow jersey from Alberto Contador (Tinkoff).
