Cheltenham Festival third day tips: Bacardys the toast in Stayers’

• Ruby Walsh may miss out on big-race double
• West Wizard worth a punt at tasty 100-1 odds

It will not improve Ruby Walsh’s mood if the horses he was booked to ride contrive to win both feature events on the third day at this Cheltenham Festival. But that’s what I expect to happen, as Un De Sceaux has an obvious chance in the Ryanair and he may be followed a little later by Bacardys (3.30) in the Stayers’ Hurdle.

A planned chasing career hasn’t worked out for Bacardys this season but he won two Grade Ones over hurdles last term and seemed to be crying out for a step up in trip. Testing ground is no problem.
