Chelsea keen to sign Fernando Llorente from Swansea as Diego Costa back-up

• Antonio Conte worked with striker at Juventus during 2013-14 season
• Michy Batshuayi, signed from Marseille in summer, could go out on loan

Chelsea are hoping to sign the Swansea striker Fernando Llorente in January to provide back-up for Diego Costa. Llorente played for the Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte, at Juventus during the 2013-14 season and the Italian sees the striker as the perfect replacement for Costa should the latter be injured or suspended.

Chelsea are interested in securing Llorente on loan or on a permanent transfer but are aware that they are facing a struggle to convince Swansea to part company with a striker who has scored six goals already this season.
