Montreal’s Jiri Sekac.

The Montreal Canadiens are straight back on the ice on Saturday to play the Penguins in Pittsburgh following Friday’s 4-2 win over the New Jersey Devils.

Michael Bournival scored twice and Max Pacioretty and Tomas Plekanec also lit the lamp for the visitors to the Prudential Center in Newark as the Canadiens moved back into a tie for first place in the Atlanta Division with the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The Canadiens are 12.00 to win the Stanley Cup and Tampa Bay can be backed at 13.00.

Victories over the New York Islanders, Carolina Hurricanes, Florida Panthers and now the Devils have made this an excellent road swing for Montreal who will head home to the Bell Centre on Tuesday to host the Lightning in a top of the table clash.

Tampa Bay came up short on Friday at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh when they were hammered 6-3 by the Penguins in a battle of Division leaders. Sidney Crosby had four assists on the night including two to Steve Downie for the Metropolitan Division side who continue to set the pace along with the Islanders.

New York made it three in a row with a victory over the Flames at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary. John Tavares scored his 16th and 17th of the campaign in the 2-1 triumph and the Islanders continue their seven-game road trip in Edmonton on Sunday before concluding the Canadian Northwest portion of the swing at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver early next week.

It’s then back east to play the Devils, Columbus Blue Jackets and New York Rangers before a showdown with the Penguins at the Nassau Coliseum in mid January.
