Campbell sisters and cyclist Porte head Australian medal hopes on day one

The Campbell sisters spearhead Australia’s quest for gold on Saturday’s day one of competition at the Rio Olympics. The thought of standing on the dais with sister Bronte as Olympic champions sends a shiver down Cate Campbell’s spine should they become gold-medal winners in the 4x100m freestyle relay.

“It’s still an incredible feeling competing at an Olympic Games together,” Campbell said. “In 2012, when we qualified together in the 50 metres freestyle, we knew we had achieved something great. This time round it’s as special.”
