Boxing – Golovkin’s warning to Alvarez

Gennady Golovkin has vowed to defeat Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez comfortably in their 5th May rematch so there are no doubts about the outcome. The 35-year-old was left aggrieved after their September showdown in Las Vegas ended in a controversial draw despite the majority of onlookers feeling he had done enough to win the world middleweight title bout. Golovkin, who is unbeaten in 38 fights, must put his WBA, WBC and IBF titles back on the line against the 28-year-old Mexican, but he is more than happy to do so as he targets a more convincing result. The Kazakh, who is 8/15 with bet365 to win the rematch, said: "This is the fight the world wants. I didn't agree with some of the judges' decisions in the first fight. "This time there will be no doubt - I am leaving the ring as the middleweight champion of the world."
