Bobs Worth won the Gold Cup in 2013.

Last year’s winner Bobs Worth heads a list of 36 entries for the Cheltenham Gold Cup in March.

The nine-year-old secured an impressive seven-length victory over Sir Des Champs last year and is 3.00 to successfully defend the title.

Sir Des Champs will miss out due to injury but Bobs Worth faces fierce competition at the showpiece event from the likes of King George winner Silviniaco Conti and Cue Card, who beat the Nicky Henderson-trained star at Haydock in November.

Silviniaco Conti is priced at 4.50 to win the Gold Cup, while Cue Card can be backed at 8.00.

Henderson has also included Long Run, who won the Gold Cup in 2011, and Triolo D’Alene, who can be backed at 34.00 and 29.00 respectively.

Bobs Worth is unbeaten in three successive races at the Cheltenham Festival, having won the Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle in 2011 and the 2012 RSA Chase.
