Bayern suffer Lahm blow

Bayern Munich have been hit by the news skipper Philipp Lahm has been ruled out of action for three months with a fractured ankle.

The former Germany captain suffered the injury in training on Tuesday and a golf cart had to be called on to take the player from the field to receive treatment.

After further analysis, it has been confirmed Lahm will have to go under the knife and will be out for at least three months.

The¬†reigning Bundesliga champions¬†tweeted: “Big blow for Philipp Lahm: The captain has suffered a fractured ankle. He needs an operation and will be out for around three months!”

Lahm will miss so big games for Bayern over the coming months, including their Champions League clash with Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium next week.

City are 3.25 to win, 3.60 to draw and 2.10 to lose to Bayern in their next European outing.
