Basketball – Gasol eyes Spain gold

Pau Gasol is desperate to land the men's basketball gold medal with Spain at the Olympic Games in Rio. The veteran San Antonio Spurs center helped his side land silver in Bejing eight years ago and in London in 2012, and he now wants to go one better in Brazil. "It would mean the world," Gasol said about winning gold on the official Rio 2016 website. "It would mean so much. But it's extremely hard, that's why it would mean so much if we could have a chance to get it." Spain are 11/1 to claim the gold medal with bet365, while the USA are 1/25 to land the top prize for the third successive tournament.
