Australia’s Melissa Hoskins out of Rio hospital after velodrome crash

• Pursuit team crash while training for Thursday’s qualifying
• Hoskins in back brace as team-mates treated for bruises and floor burns

The Australian cyclist Melissa Hoskins has been cleared of serious injury after her pursuit team crashed while doing a training effort at race speed.

Hoskins was taken from the Rio Olympics velodrome on a stretcher on Monday but she was later released from hospital, the ABC reported.
