Anger after high school swimmer disqualified for suit that broke ‘modesty rule’

  • Referee ruled swimsuit exposed too much of student’s buttocks

The decision to disqualify an Alaskan high school swimmer for wearing a swimsuit that exposed too much of her buttocks has come under heavy criticism.

Lauren Langford, a swimming coach in Anchorage, published an online account of the disqualification over the weekend. Langford said the student, was punished for her athletic physique, a combination of genetics and years of training to gain strength and speed.
