Adrian Peterson’s future at the Minnesota Vikings looks increasingly uncertain after his agent said it is not in the player’s “best interest” to stay with the team.

In November, Peterson was suspended without pay for the rest of the season, having been found to have violated the NFL’s personal conduct for “abusive discipline he inflicted on his four-year-old son”. Peterson’s ban was vacated in February after an appeal of the NFL Players Association.
